Job Description

Imagine a world where your daily work allows someone to reclaim their first steps post-surgery, regain their independence following a stroke, or rediscover their voice after an illness. As a Physical Therapist, you won't just participate in the healing process — you'll restore dignity, momentum, and hope during some of life's most challenging moments. And you will do this in a location that redefines the concepts of living, working, and rejuvenating. We are thrilled to share an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the vibrant city of Durham, North Carolina — a place where professional fulfillment seamlessly merges with a lifestyle packed with excitement and warmth. Here, clinical excellence coexists with a community that embraces and uplifts every member. If you're prepared to make a significant impact from the core of your practice, this is the moment you've been waiting for. In this role, you will carry out patient evaluations in either an inpatient or outpatient environment, creating tailored treatment plans that address each individual's unique challenges. Your duties will include administering physical therapy interventions to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality. You will collaborate with a diverse team of nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support recovery. Education is as crucial as practice. You'll be expected to share your insights with patients and their families regarding therapeutic aims, discharge strategies, and at-home exercise regimens. Additionally, you'll keep detailed documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress to align with facility policies and regulatory standards. Your involvement in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings will help guarantee a coordinated approach to care.

To qualify for this rewarding position, candidates should possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution. We also require state licensure as a Physical Therapist along with CPR certification, which is preferred. Specialized certifications in areas like neurology or geriatrics are advantageous but not mandatory. Previous experience is strongly recommended, particularly in treating patients with complex medical histories and mobility challenges. You will need excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, as well as comfort in utilizing digital tools for charting and clinical documentation. Your hard work will be met with a competitive compensation package, enhanced by comprehensive benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance. We also prioritize your professional growth with continuing education support and licensure reimbursement. Enjoy the perks of paid time off and flexible scheduling, all while being part of a supportive team culture where opportunities for clinical advancement are plentiful. In your everyday routine, every moment counts and every interaction is filled with significance. You'll serve as a trusted partner during those crucial early stages of recovery, whether it's aiding a patient in regaining balance after surgery or guiding someone through the challenging steps toward rehabilitation after a stroke. This role demands your full attention and presence, but the rewards are unparalleled. The changes you'll witness in your patients will be immediate and life-altering, and your participation in their journey is invaluable. We believe that your value transcends the skills listed on your resume. You recognize that movement is integral to health, that compassion is a powerful force, and that progress can be measured in various ways — from standing upright to taking those first steps again. We are on the lookout for a Physical Therapist who not only embodies clinical expertise but also brings emotional intelligence and thrives in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team setting. Whether you are just starting your professional journey or bring years of rich experience, if you have a passion for evidence-based care, teamwork, and human connection, we'd love the opportunity to get to know you. This is more than just a job; it's a vocation — where your expertise meets meaning and your daily presence contributes profoundly to the lives of others. In Durham, North Carolina, you'll be surrounded by passionate healthcare providers, an energetic work culture, and a dynamic city that inspires you to live your best life. Together, we can help you advance your career, expand your skill set, and rediscover the happiness that comes from meaningful work. Join our team in a place that will both challenge and uplift you, enhancing not only your career but your life as well.
