Job Description
Job Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist
Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation

Hours per Shift: 5x8 (08:15 - 17:00)
Experience: Minimum 1 year in outpatient pediatric rehab setting
License: Valid state license required
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have:
Experience in outpatient pediatric rehab setting
Working knowledge of common pediatric conditions
Description:
Candidate will work in an outpatient pediatric rehab setting.
Common conditions seen in this clinic include balance and coordination disorders.
Experience with genetic and neuromuscular disorders is required.
Knowledge of gross motor incoordination is essential.
Candidate should be familiar with conditions such as in-toeing and orthopedic injuries.
Experience with toe walking, torticollis, and scoliosis is needed.
Skilled in adaptive devices and equipment is necessary.
Candidate should demonstrate proficiency in assessment and evaluation.
Experience with therapeutic modalities including e-stim and TENS is preferred.
Ability to create individualized programs and home exercise plans is required.
Strong communication skills for patient and family education are essential.
Knowledge of safety and injury prevention practices is vital.
Candidate should have experience with long-term goal setting and milestone assessment.
Familiarity with Medicaid and discharge planning is beneficial.
Candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team supporting pediatric rehabilitation.
Flexibility to float to other areas during low census is needed.
No weekend or call requirements are present in this position.
Proof of flu vaccination is mandatory, with only medical exemptions considered.
