Position / Specialty: Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Shift: 5x8 Days )open to 4x10s as well! Mon- Fri Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience required. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend REQ: None. Certs REQ: BLS and IL state PTA license required. Is on-call REQ? No. Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No. Open to accommodating block schedule? Schedule is M-F blocked. Locals accepted: Yes- no radius. Pending License accepted: No- active IL license required to apply. RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. Special Requirements: Required Specialty/Patient Population Skills/Experience: Neurology, Orthopedics. Required Work Setting Experience: Outpatient Clinic. Required Assessment Skills/Experience: Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Pain assessment, Sensory response, Skin integrity, Strength testing, Vital Signs. Required Documentation Skills/Experience: Discharge, Evaluation, Long Term Goals, Plan of Care, Reassessments, RUG Levels, Short Term Goals, Time Management. Required Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Ankle Sprains, Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD), Elbow injuries/tendinopathy, Extremity Mobilization, Frozen shoulder, Gait training, Hip fractures/injuries, Knee injuries/tendinopathy, Low back pain, Myofascial Release, Osteoarthritis, Post op cervical surgery, Post op shoulder repair, Post op spinal surgery, Spinal Conditions, Taping, Total hip replacement, Total knee replacement. Required Neurologic Case Skills/Experience: Post Stroke Rehabilitation. Required Professional Skills and Knowledge: Home Exercise Program, Lifting and transfers, Patient family education, Scheduling appointments, Signs & Symptoms physical, sexual, psychological abuse, Telephone calls. Required Billing Skills/Experience: Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A, Medicare B, Private Pay, Worker's Compensation. Required Certifications/Credentials: PTA, IL State license. Required Age specific competencies: Middle Adult and Older Adult. WebPT EHR required. EMR experience preferred. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable): Level II Trauma center. Total Staffed Beds: 372 staffed beds.
