Job description
Respiratory Therapist
The position involves providing respiratory therapy for adult patients. You will be responsible for performing 5-6 treatments per day. The role includes drawing and analyzing ABGs from arterial lines and punctures. You will assist with intubations as needed. Experience in managing ventilators is preferred. Working hours are night shifts from 1800 to 0630, three days a week. You will never be the only respiratory therapist in-house during your shift. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. There may be occasional holiday requirements. You will work with equipment including ventilators and high-flow devices. A department-specific orientation will be provided. This role does not include on-call or standby call responsibilities. The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing for the cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting will be done using an electronic system. No specific dress code is required for this position.
