TIG Welder - Days/NightsJoin a dynamic sheet metal shop known for crafting a variety of products, from metal cabinets to water tanks. We are seeking skilled TIG welders who can excel in performing precise welds on stainless steel. Your expertise will contribute to our diverse array of projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG welding on 18 gauge - 20 gauge stainless steel.Set up and adjust welding machines for different job requirements.Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate welding.Maintain all necessary safety equipment including welding hood, gloves, leathers, earplugs, and safety glasses.Ensure compliance with safety standards, including wearing steel-toed boots on the shop floor.Essential SkillsProficiency in TIG welding, particularly on 18 gauge - 20 gauge stainless steel.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience with welding 12 gauge - 24 gauge materials.Capability to pass a TIG test (box test).Additional Skills & QualificationsOwn welding equipment, including hood, shield, and steel-toed shoes.Experience in aluminum welding and metal fabrication is a plus.Why Work Here?Be part of a local company with a clean and organized shop environment. The shop operates Monday to Thursday, offering both day (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) and night (3:30 pm – 2:00 am) shifts, each lasting 10 hours. The night shift includes a 10% differential.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, UT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
