Job description
Team Elmer's is looking to fill a full-time opening for a Tire Technician at the Traverse City location. This position will will repair and replace tires on assets including but not limited to: cars, trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
nDuties and Responsibilities:
nnReplace tires and tire related parts.
nProperly secure asset to lift to ensure safe operation.
nProperly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on assets.
nProperly dismount and remount tires onto wheels without damaging either component.
nOperate all related equipment and tools as trained.
nOperate independently and as a team member.
nEvaluate tires, determine and assess tire use verses misuse.
nHandle and perform road call repairs.
nAssist in performing inventory control accurately.
nPaperwork/computer work – perform any and all related requirements.
nKnow and follows all OSHA, MSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
nOther duties as assigned.

nQualifications:
nnValid Commercial Driver's License A, preferred.
nClean driving record for past 5 years.
nAbility to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
nTire repair certification and/or previous experience.
nHigh School Diploma or GED, preferred.
nAble to handle unexpected situations at a moment's notice.
nStrong work ethic.
nComputer knowledge.
nMechanical - Knowledge of equipment, machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
