Title ClerkWerner Hyundai & Werner Kia is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Title Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of automotive titles. Your expertise will help streamline transactions, support our dealership operations, and provide a seamless experience for our customers.Title & RegistrationProcess all title and registration paperwork, including in-state and out-of-state transactionsVerify ownership documents, lien information, and sales tax detailsPrepare and submit DMV documents in compliance with state regulationsMonitor and report outstanding title work and resolve any delays or missing documentationCommunicate with DMV offices, financial institutions, and customers to address title or lien issuesMaintain accurate vehicle inventory records and compliance logsCollaborate with sales, finance, and service departments to correct discrepancies and streamline workflowsEnsure compliance with all dealerships, state, and federal regulations related to billing and title processesAccurately review, process, and file title documents in compliance with state regulations and company policiesCommunicate clearly and professionally with customers, lenders, and state agencies to resolve title or tag-related inquiriesMaintain accurate and organized records of all title transactions for quick retrieval and audit purposesProactively identify and resolve discrepancies in title documentation to prevent delays or errorsSupport the dealership team with additional administrative tasks as neededQualificationsPrevious experience in automotive title and tag processing requiredWorking knowledge of Dealer DMV preferredStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExcellent communication and customer service skills with a professional, approachable demeanorProficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.) a plusMinimum 2+ years of experience in automotive billing and title work at a dealershipStrong understanding of DMV title processing procedures and state-specific requirementsProficiency in dealership software such as CDKHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentationExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFull-time position; may require occasional overtime during month-end or high-volume periods
