FEDERALLY FUNDED:

This position is fully/partially funded through federal grant funds and is contingent upon the availability of those supplemental grant funds. Employees in federally funded positions are required to maintain grant-specific time and effort documentation and follow all applicable administrative regulations for the grant.

ROLE AND PURPOSE:

Assist in directing and managing Title I campus instructional programs, climate and culture and operations. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional, social and emotional service to all students. Assist in the effective and efficient operations of the campus, which includes curriculum, specialized programs, staff development, and assessment. To create a comprehensive plan that ensures all children meet the state's challenging academic standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Master's Degree from accredited institution

Valid Teacher Certification issued by Texas Education Agency

Administrator's Certificate issued by Texas Education Agency

Experience: Three years successful teaching experience required, five preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness

Ability to coordinate district staff development

Ability to implement and interpret policy, procedures, and data

Ability to accurately and appropriately analyze and interpret assessment results for the purpose of designing and modifying instruction

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

I. INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT: Partner with district and campus level leadership in directing instructional and curriculum services to meet all teachers and students' needs

Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programs with teachers, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques

Apply research and district data to improve the content, sequence, and results of the teaching and learning process

Involve instructional staff in evaluating and selecting instructional materials to meet student learning needs

Keep abreast of developments in instructional methodology, learning theory, curriculum trends and content

Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional units and teaching strategies

Provide guidance that improves teachers' classroom practices

Interpret and use data (including but not limited to standardized and other test results) for diagnosis, instructional planning, and program evaluation

II. OTHER DUTIES: Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.

Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.

Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Performs other duties that support the purpose and impact of Title I/SCE services, as assigned by Campus leadership

IV. EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE SKILLS: Personal computer, printer, copier, and scanner

Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, etc.)

Google Suite applications (Docs, G-Mail, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)

V. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise
