Housekeeping Team MemberThe Housekeeping Team Member is the staff primarily responsible for cleaning and preparing guest and staff accommodations under the guidance and direction of the Hospitality Supervisor and Camp Management.Essential FunctionsServe the needs of our guests and staff in a spirit of Christian hospitalityClean, turn-over, and prepare cabins, meeting spaces, and restrooms for guest useMaintain a clean, efficient and healthy environment for our guests and staffAdditional FunctionsRespond to requests and needs of staff and management as neededWork with the host to respond to guest requests and needsSet-up minor equipment and rooms for guestsOther duties as assignedMajor Competency AreasExcellent attitude with guests and co-workersGood communication skillsAttention to details and high level of cleanlinessAbility to follow instructions and proceduresStrong work ethic with an emphasis on teamworkQualificationsAbility to learn and perform cleaning techniquesAbility to work alone and with othersValid Driver's License, CPRMust be able to work weekends and have reliable transportationAgreement with Thousand Pines doctrinal statement and compliance with employee handbookPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift 50 poundsAbility to work in inclement weatherAbilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the jobPhysical abilities to do the following:Carrying a cleaning supply kit into each cabinCarrying a vacuum into each cabinCleaning toiletsVacuumingSweepingMoppingRestocking dispensers in bathrooms and meeting spacesDoing laundry: washing, drying, folding, and making linen packetsWiping down bunk beds (upper and lower, may involve climbing ladders)Lifting mattresses to sweep and remove any trashCleaning sinks and mirrorsCleaning tubs and showersClean out drainsDusting and de-webbing (spiders and cobwebs)Wiping down walls and doorsRemoving trash from rooms (sometimes heavy)Relining trashcans outside and inside roomsPicking up trash inside and outside on groundsMoving furniture to clean underneath (occasionally)Stacking and set up chairs in meeting roomsMoving and set up 8 ft. tables in meeting roomsLocking and unlocking meeting rooms doors and cabin doorsRemoving soiled linens from bedsMaking bedsStocking supplies in storage (requires lifting and carrying boxes)These activities may involve standing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, bending, twisting, lifting, turning, crouching, walking, reaching, pushing.Thank you for your interest in TM Camping!Our primary goal is to see our campers come to know, in a real and personal way, the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
