Our precision components support the International Space Station, nearly every major launch vehicle in operation, high-performance spacecraft (including classified missions), as well as next-generation fighter aircraft, bombers, submarines, radar systems, and ground vehicles.The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for pre-setting and issuing CNC and Manual tools and area equipment; maintains records of issued tools and monitors the tool crib inventory; receives new tools and schedules preventative maintenance of Tool Crib related equipment.Essential FunctionsLocates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometers and reports damage or wear to supervisors.Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can.May deliver tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck.May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.Receives, stores and issues CNC cutting tools and equipment in an industrial establishment.Sets Cutting Tool Length and Diameters using Optical Tool Pre-Setters (Will Train on specific models).Verifies 'Returned from Use' tooling for wear and/or damage.Maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computers.Receives incoming new tools and equipment and verifies them against Purchase Orders.Unpacks and examines incoming tools and materials, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify and issues.Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.Marks and identifies tools and equipment for traceability.Serves as an expert/consultant in manufacturing line skills with other employees.Responsible for accurate inventory of tools and fixtures in a secure access tool crib room.Qualifications and SkillsRequired:Ability to use complex equipment, read difficult instructions and schematics, and maintain written records.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to create Excel spreadsheets to maintain Inventories.Ability to effectively present information in small group situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Ability to use common machine shop hand and measurement tools.Self-motivation, able to accomplish high level of work.Team player, actively participating in continuous improvement projects with coworkers.Preferred:High school degree. Success requires a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and customer delivery commitments.Additional RequirementsThis position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
