Tool Crib AttendantTool Crib Attendants are responsible for identifying the necessary tooling for a production job and assembling those for issue to the shop floor. Attendants also grinds/sharpens tooling and stocks materials incoming to the tool crib.Essential FunctionsTo perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Analyze job orders, engineering drawings, and other technical specifications to accurately identify tooling requirementsCollects and assembles all necessary tools, fixtures, etc. needed to complete a job in productionSharpens tooling using grinders and other powered hand toolsStocks and organizes materials and fixtures within the designated storage areaMay issue purchase order requests for low-stock or unavailable itemsEnters inventory use into ERP for accurate tooling inventory recordsCommunicates effectively (English) with coworkers in manufacturing, quality, procurement, and other functional areasRequired Education and Work ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredExperience in CNC machining to understand machining concepts and tool feeds and speeds is preferredOther Required Skills and AbilitiesExperience reading and accurately interpreting shop blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications is requiredExperience using powered electric and/or pneumatic hand tools including grinders or sanders is preferredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, stand for long periods to perform job dutiesRegularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 pounds using peer assistance and/or other lifting & material-handling equipmentOccasionally reaches overhead and reaches out or down to perform dutiesOccasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneelFrequently uses hand or fingers to manually inspect parts and operate tools and/or material handling controlsVisual acuity to interpret readings on gauges and other measuring devicesWorking ConditionsWork is performed in a manufacturing shop environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:Excessive noise (hearing protection required)Dust, smoke, mist, fumes/vapors (regularly)Extreme temperatures (occasionally)Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (regularly)The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear is requiredAccurus offers a comprehensive employee benefit package upon completion of 30 days of employment.
