Apply Today.Position Overview: As a Tooling and Maintenance Specialist, you play a critical role in ensuring tooling reliability and dimensional accuracy to uphold product quality in a high-speed, continuous manufacturing environment. The Tooling Specialist is a highly skilled role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the precision of tooling and dies, particularly for neckers and front-end (FE) equipment. With advanced mechanical expertise, the specialist perform precision machining tasks, interprets technical blueprints, plans and coordinates maintenance activities (including with external vendors), and supports major equipment rebuilds. This role also contributes to capital projects and continuous improvements initiatives aimed at minimizing downtime and maximizing tooling lifecycle and line efficiency *Night shift position: 10:00pm-6:30am Monday-FridayCompetencies:High Precision Maintenance: executes maintenance with focus on accuracy and tolerance complianceTechnical Blueprint Interpretation: reads and applies technical drawings for machining and tooling workTooling Reliability Focus: understands the impact of tooling condition on product quality and machine performanceMechanical Expertise: applies advanced knowledge of manufacturing and industrial equipmentPlanning and Coordination: effectively organizes and aligns tasks with vendors, crews, and schedulesRoot Cause & Process Improvement: participates in problem-solving and implements corrective/preventive actionsInventory Discipline: maintains detailed records and applies tooling lifecycle best practicesSafety and Quality Mindset: consistently applies standards to protect people, equipment, and outputSkills:Precision machining and die maintenanceInterpretation of mechanical and technical blueprintsAdvanced Knowledge of industrial and manufacturing equipment (preferred on Necker and Front-End tooling)Equipment rebuild and alignment proceduresTool and die inventory management systemsDowntime tracking and root cause documentationCMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) familiarityVendor communication and maintenance planningAccountabilities:Ensure tooling accuracy and functionality, perform high-precision maintenance, repair, and replacement of tooling and dies to meet tolerance and quality standardsImprove tooling reliability, monitor and act on tooling performance to prevent failures and ensure consistent product qualityInterpret blueprints and machining specs, use technical drawings to guide accurate machining and tolling tasksSupport rebuilds and capital projects, contribute technical expertise to equipment rebuilds and process improvements initiativesCoordinate maintenance activities, plan and align work with vendors and teams to minimize downtimeReduce downtime through root cause actions, support problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts targeting equipment availabilityManage tooling inventory, track usage, wear, and replacement needs to maintain availability and performanceFollow safety and quality standards, apply safety procedures and maintain high standards in all maintenance tasksQualifications & Experience:5+ Years of related experienceHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Technical Qualification (Mechanics, Tool & Die, Mechatronics, or related fields)Computers skillsCompensation & Benefits: Starting Hourly Rate: $41.84 This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
