Our exceptional quality is driven by a deep investment in and the daily practice of continually improving our people, processes, and products.The Tool Maker II position is responsible for moderately complex building and modifying tools, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations.Location: Stuart, FL – Onsite. Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.Responsibilities:Works with machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments using a good mechanical aptitudePrograms, sets-up, and operates machine tools to perform completely and independently specific operations as requiredReads, interprets, and machines moderately detailed and assembly components, jigs and fixtures as indicated on the prints, sketches, and /or other specificationsFabricates moderately complex assembly and drill jigsChanges, sets and adjusts tools as requiredDetermines, sets and adjusts feeds, speeds and stops on all machines in the facility within operation capability to maintain specified tolerancesBe familiar with temperature changes caused by machine operations and the use of proper coolantsHave moderate knowledge of the machinability of metalsGrinds moderately complex cutting tools and drillsChecks fixture using specified details and assemblies to see that dimensions are being maintainedReports improper machine function and/or checks parts not being held to the proper dimensionsPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentThree (3) to five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.Work Conditions:Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants and cleaning solutionsOccasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heatNoise level is usually middlingRegularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feelAble to communicate verbally and have the ability to hearFrequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouchOccasionally required to sitRegularly lifts and/or moves up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) poundsClose vision abilityThe above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
