Tool Maker/Machinist$28–$35.50/hour | First Shift | Company-Paid Employee Health InsuranceDo you prefer building precision parts from raw material instead of loading a machine and pressing a button?We're looking for an experienced Tool Maker/Machinist to manufacture low-volume, high-precision components, prototypes, fixtures, and tooling for automation and aerospace applications. This first-shift opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded machinist who can read a print, determine the best machining approach, and independently take a part from concept to completion.Compensation & Benefits$28–$35.50/hour, based on experienceFirst-shift scheduleEmployee health insurance fully covered by the companyHSA health plan option401(k) with company-funded profit sharingUp to four weeks of PTOSeven personal or sick daysCompany-paid life insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageWhat You'll DoManufacture machine components, prototypes, fixtures, tooling, and aerospace partsOperate CNC knee mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other machine-shop equipmentProgram, set up, and run your own workFabricate parts and assemblies from raw materialRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, job orders, and GD&T calloutsMachine low-quantity parts to tolerances of ±0.0005 inch or tighterInspect completed parts using precision measuring equipmentAdjust machine settings, tooling, and processes to maintain accuracy and qualityAssemble fixtures, tooling, and mechanical componentsCollaborate with engineers and other machinists to solve manufacturing challengesPerform routine machine maintenanceRequired QualificationsAt least five years of practical machining or tool-making experienceStrong experience operating knee mills, lathes, and surface grindersAbility to independently program, set up, and operate machine-shop equipmentExperience producing parts from raw material through final inspectionAbility to read and interpret complex prints and GD&TProven ability to hold tolerances of ±0.0005 inch or tighterExperience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and related inspection equipmentMust provide personal tools and measuring equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 poundsSelf-directed and capable of working with limited supervisionStrong mechanical aptitude, organization, and attention to detailAbility to communicate and work effectively with engineers and machinistsPreferred ExperienceConversational machine programmingMachining steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and exotic aerospace materialsWelding, fabrication, and mechanical assemblyAutomation equipment or machine-building experienceIf you're the person coworkers call when a difficult print, tight tolerance, or one-off part lands in the shop, this role should feel right at home.
