Job description
Tool MachinistJoin one of the largest medical device manufacturers as a Toolmaker in a direct hire position. This role involves designing, assembling, and troubleshooting parts or tools required for production and testing.ResponsibilitiesDesign, assemble, and troubleshoot parts or tools required for production and testing.Use precision measuring devices to fabricate parts, and build prototypes and tooling for production equipment per instructions and specifications.Set up and operate CNC and Manual tool room equipment.Collaborate with engineering and internal/external designers to improve final product and tooling.Maintain accurate, neat, and complete records for the tool room and assure new tools are properly numbered with maintained inventory levels.Ensure tool room equipment and other major shop equipment are maintained regularly per procedures.Understand engineering objectives and design intent, providing feedback.Resolve tooling-related issues on the production floor.Participate in cross-training activities and assist with training of new hires and temporary staff.Follow set training programs for the position and ensure training requirements are up to date.Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe work area.Essential SkillsToolmakingTool and dieProgrammingToolingManual machiningDie repairMachiningBlueprint readingAdditional Skills & QualificationsMechanical inclination is beneficial, especially when working with machines.Experience in sewing or activities requiring good hand dexterity can be advantageous.Ability to sit or stand all day.Adaptability for cross-training and versatility in skills.Why Work Here?Enjoy a monthly production bonus, 401(k) with matching contribution, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, and paid parental leave.
