If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!Job PurposeMaintain all tooling to produce a quality part (process/changes, non-conformances, equipment acceptance, down time issues, tool life, etc.) by identification, execution and communication to ensure harmonious flow within the area of responsibility.Key AccountabilitiesConduct assigned checks & apply appropriate action according to plant/dept. policies and procedures to ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale.Control and maintain all tooling per process requirements utilizing the process quality control tables, operation standards, tool preset procedures and other specialized setup by tooling department (Manufacturing Technical Services).Monitor conditions within the area and react accordingly to prevent negative production impact.Monitor and communicate prior day/shift results through reviewing shift communication (daily report, visual management board, pre-shift communication, email, etc.) and providing continuous communication in order to apply PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action).Demonstrate basic understanding of process area tools, materials and equipment to appropriately react and prevent outflow/ negative impact to the department.Execute nonconforming product containment/repair and reporting to prevent outflow within the area from poor tooling performance.Work with line engineers, plant tool department and vendors to make improvements.Actively participate in department initiatives such as Monozukuri and loss elimination to engage the team, build morale and promote continuous improvement.Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsMinimum Experience: 2-4 years of Machining experience or equivalent tooling experienceOther Job-Specific Skills:Must understand metric measuring systemDemonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirementsWorking ConditionsWill require standing for long durations of timeAble to work in a fast pace production areaAble to work in an environment with varying temperaturesMust be able to lift up to 35 lbs.0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as neededDaily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime as required (will vary)What Differentiates Honda and Make Us an Employer of Choice?Total Rewards:Competitive Base Salary (pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, etc.)Paid OvertimeRegional Bonus (when applicable)Industry-leading Benefit Plans (Medical, Dental, Vision, Rx)Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, shutdownCompany Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability401K Plan with company match + additional contributionRelocation assistance (if eligible)Career Growth:Advancement OpportunitiesCareer MobilityEducation Reimbursement for Continued LearningTraining and Development programsAdditional Offerings:Tuition Assistance & Student Loan RepaymentLifestyle AccountChildcare Reimbursement AccountElder Care SupportWellbeing ProgramCommunity Service and Engagement ProgramsProduct ProgramsHonda is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor.
