Tooling Design Engineer -Hi-Speed Cable Assembly

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tooling Design Engineer to join our growing team in Nashua. This crucial role will design and develop tooling solutions for both new product development (NPD) and sustaining legacy products, driving the efficient manufacture of our high-speed cable assemblies. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams in Nashua, NH, Mexico, Vietnam and China, ensuring seamless documentation and control of new tooling designs and assemblies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop tooling for high-speed cable assembly manufacturing, supporting NPD and sustaining engineering for legacy products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality) to define tooling requirements and specifications.
Create detailed 3D CAD models of tooling designs, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
Develop and maintain complete documentation packages for tooling designs: drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance procedures.
Partner with Nashua, Mexico and China engineering teams to ensure design compatibility, standardization, and knowledge transfer.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on tooling concepts.
Manage tooling vendors: quoting, procurement, and quality control.
Support new tooling implementation and validation in manufacturing.. Focus on consistent
