Signicast doesn't just invest in you— we help you invest in a future!The Tool Maker is responsible for mold, tool, and fixture build using all tool room equipment and providing technical support. This will include mold design input, scheduling, and troubleshooting.Openings: 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, or M-F 8-hour shiftsSIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $2,500!Essential Duties and Responsibilities The below list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principal and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the positionRepair molds, tooling, and fixturesPerforms complex tool-making procedures requiring fitting and assembling parts, and adjusting to meet requirementsSet up and operate conventional, special-purpose machines to fabricate tooling components, and fit and assemble these components into production tooling and fixturesSet up and operate automatic and manual machining equipment for the manufacturing and repair of injection moldsPerform preventive maintenance on all molds/diesBuild jigs and fixtures as neededDesign and build gauges to check the accuracy of partsResolve mold / die performance issuesManufacture new molds/dies to meet production demand for existing and new productsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Electrical discharge machiningKnowledge of speeds and feeds for carbide cutters used in machining tool steelsThe ability to program conversational and tool path programs in multiple formatsExperience with multi-axis, 5-axis simultaneous is a plusPrint and GD&T knowledgeAbility to hold close tolerance to +/-.0001Project management experienceAbility to complete all tasks in a safe mannerWork Environment/Physical DemandsFrequently required to stand, walk, talk, hearUse hands to work tools, controls, etc.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsEducation and Experience3 years of experience as a Tool Maker, preferably in a wax or plastics injection mold manufacturing environmentTwo-year associate degree in machine tool technology is preferred but not requiredBenefits: Our Total Rewards program offers world class benefits for this full-time position:Medical Insurance-PPO & HDHP HSA within 61 days of your start dateDental & Vision insuranceWellness ProgramLife InsuranceShort-term & Long Term disabilityPaid vacations plus 10 paid HolidaysQuarterly Performance Bonus401k Matching up to 5.5%Tuition ReimbursementOn-site Fitness center (Hartford & Brown Deer Only)On-site Chiropractor (Hartford Only)Signicast offers a breadth of opportunities from career development planning to help our employees grow into their next position through individualized planning and training to in-depth leadership development for our next generation of leaders.
