This environment fosters collaboration and empowers team members from engineering and manufacturing to finance, supply chain, human resources, information technology and beyond.By combining deep expertise with an entrepreneurial spirit, we help customers succeed in markets that demand performance, reliability, and sustainability.As we look to the future, Parker is advancing initiatives in energy efficiency and sustainability while developing the next generation of talent and leaders to engineer a better tomorrow.Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grindersReads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and productsCompletes engineering changes and modifies moldsTroubleshoots and repairs moldsPrepares molds for productionRepairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needsPrepares molds for storage following production runsDesign and build secondary fixturesWorks with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scalesSupport continuous improvement through lean and hptKeeps a clean and safe work environmentOther duties as requiredQualifications And Desired Skills, Experience & Abilities:Education and Experience:Must possess high school diploma or general education degree (ged)Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is requiredAt least 2 years machining experienceCad/cam knowledge is preferredAn ability to read prints and work with mathematical conceptsAn ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferredMechanical aptitude requiredBasic computer skillsGood verbal and written communication skills.Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.Must be able to effectively interact with othersThis position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.Competitive CompensationPay Range: $25.75/hr to $38.75/hrParticipation in annual incentive programBenefit & Retirement PlansComprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost.401(k) plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay.Company provided defined-contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of pay.Career development and tuition reimbursement.Other benefits including paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, a Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.Supplemental benefit programs including identity protection, legal protection, and pet wellness are available at competitive rates.Paid time off and company-paid holidays.Parker is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
