Together, we're shaping the future of healthcare.Job SummaryAnalyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools by performing the following duties.Role and ResponsibilitiesStudies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, EDM, Swiss, and grinder, to machine parts; and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.Smooth flat and contoured surfaces and power grinders, and fits and assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms.Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.Maintains plant equipment and follows established preventative maintenance schedules.Heat treats tools or parts.Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product.Maintain knowledge of latest skills and innovations of the trade to accomplish function with optimum efficiency and minimum cost.Keep a clean, safe and orderly work area, and report only unusual operating difficulties to supervisor.Adhere to all prescribed safety rules, procedures and regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned.Connects hydraulic lines to install hydraulic components.QualificationsKnowledge of ACAD or Solid Works.Education RequirementsTrade school graduate and/or formal apprenticeship and at least five (5) years' experience.Physical RequirementsFrequent performing repetitive work.Occasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.)Occasional carrying (max. 40 lbs.)Subject to physical hazards from moving equipment and machine partsConstant safety glassesConstant full PPEFrequent standingOccasional sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching.What We Offer:On-the-job training and advancement opportunitiesCompetitive hourly wage + shift differentials (2nd & 3rd Shift)Great benefits like health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401K and much more.Paid time off, sick time and holiday payEmployee Assistance Program/ Tuition Reimbursement
