Toolmaker / Precision MachinistLocation: Newington, CTJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentPay: $36–$43/hour, based on experienceThis is NOT an entry-level position. A minimum of 5 years of metalworking/toolmaking experience is required. If you enjoy building parts from start to finish, solving machining challenges, and working on unique tooling rather than repetitive production, this may be the opportunity for you.Frasal Tool Co is a privately held precision machining and tooling manufacturer founded in 1972. The company specializes in custom aerospace ground-support tooling, precision components, fixtures, gauges, and complex assemblies.The RoleAs a Toolmaker/Precision Machinist, you will independently manufacture and assemble precision tooling from start to finish while working closely with Engineering, Quality, Management, and other Machinists.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and operation sheets.Set up and operate manual and toolroom CNC equipment, including Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, surface grinders, OD grinders, band saws, arbor presses, and ProtoTRAK mills/lathes.Machine and assemble parts to print specifications.Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and related equipment.Apply GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy.Work independently while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and other team members.Troubleshoot machining and assembly challenges and determine practical solutions.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of professional metalworking/toolmaking experience.Strong proficiency setting up and operating manual milling and turning equipment.Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.Proficient with precision measuring equipment.Ability to work independently from print to completed part.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Authorized to work in the U.S.Why This Opportunity?This is not a high-volume production machine shop.
