We want to crush the competition and be the best contract manufacturing partner on those jobs where we drive the greatest impact with our decidedly better high-volume molding efficiencies.Job SummaryThe Tool and Mold Maker is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mold tooling to support high-volume production molding operations.Essential Functions:Perform preventative maintenance including lubricating, cleaning, polishing, and deburring of molds and related componentsRepair molds to support production demand and the manufacturing machine operatorsWorks with Sr. Tool and Mold Maker on disassembly, repair, and re-assembly of heated manifolds, runners, water lines, cores, cams, and ejector pinsFabricate and build mold components such as ejector pins or bladesFollow blueprints and engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerancesSet up and operate tool room equipment, including manual mills, lathes, and grindersUse a variety of tool maker and machine toolsUse a variety of precision toolmaker measuring instrumentsParticipate in mold and design for manufacturability reviewsMaintains organized work area to maximize efficiency and safetyWork independently with no supervisionOther duties as assignedQualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:High School Diploma/GED Required3 years of previous relevant experience required (CNC, Swiss, Mold Making, etc)Previous machining experience maintaining plastic injection molds and related tooling preferredExperience in setup and operation of manual mills, lathes, and grinders preferredCNC machinist experience preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Able to lift up to 40 poundsStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shiftManual dexterity or fine motor skillsAbility to operate heavy machineryEOE Statement: We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
