Job description
Timekeeping SpecialistResponsible for maintaining an accurate account of hours worked on all employees for a project site. Duties include completing timesheets, posting, balancing, labor distributions, recaps, computation of wages and adjustments, and preparation of payrolls. Also responsible for recording maintenance and project payroll reports as required and closing a payroll. Requires a minimum of 1-2 years timekeeping experience, computer experience, and up-to-date knowledge of benefit plans, IRS requirements/regulations, and EEO policies and a high school graduate or equivalent.Responsibilities:Computes total time worked by employeesEnters payroll into computerDelivers paycheck to employeeMay interview employees to discuss hours worked and pay adjustmentsBasic record keeping and other procedures for concentrating on detailsResponsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rulesPerforms other duties as requiredJob Requirements:Must know TRACKWork within precise limits or standards of accuracyOperate business machines, computers and/or menu driven applicationsPlan work on a daily basisPosses excellent communication skills, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skillsMake decisions based on measurable criteriaQualifications:May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.Physical Requirements:Strength: a.
