Job Overview
A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Trademark Prosecution Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their intellectual property practice in Madison, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment, handling a diverse portfolio of trademark matters.
Duties
Manage U.S. and international trademark prosecution from clearance through registration.
Conduct and analyze trademark searches and provide risk assessments.
Draft and respond to Office Actions before the USPTO.
Advise clients on trademark strategy, portfolio management, and enforcement.
Coordinate with foreign associates on international filings and prosecution.
Assist with trademark due diligence in corporate transactions.
Requirements
1-3 years of trademark prosecution experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with TTAB proceedings is a plus.
Patent prosecution experience is a plus, but not required.
New Jersey bar admission required.
New York bar admission preferred.
Part‑time candidates will be considered.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
