Performs moderately complex repair or construction of universityfacilities or property which require specialized training in askilled trade (plumbing). Hours for this position are Mondaythrough Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
Performs complex repair or installation on Universityfacilities and property using expertise acquired throughspecialized training in a skilled trade (plumbing)
Reviews job orders and blueprints or drawings; inspects siteand consults with client; determines best method to completeproject
Estimates amount of materials and equipment needed to completeproject; arranges for materials to be at job site
Assists outside contractors as needed; assists crafts-personsfrom other trades as needed
Maintains and cleans tools and equipment; maintains work areain a clean and orderly manner
May prepare some paperwork; may maintain files
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires nine months training beyond high school in a skilledtrade and two years of experience in that trade, or an equivalentcombination of education and experience.
Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to be aqualified driver under the Universities MVR policy.
