Job description
Waste Connections is looking for a safety-minded Traffic Management Flagger to join our team at West Van Materials Recovery Center in Vancouver, Washington .
nStarting wage is $27.00/HR
nSchedule is Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (or until close)
nSafety Sensitive : Yes
nRESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnSpotting - helping to direct customers and commercial work trucks to appropriate dump sites.
n
nnTraffic management - moving signs and cones.
n
nnCleaning equipment - sweeping/power washing.
n
nnGeneral site cleanup as needed.
n
nnProvide friendly customer service.
n
n nREQUIREMENTS:
nnnThis is a safety-sensitive position that requires eligible background check and drug panel screening.
n
nnAt least 2+ years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position.
n
nnThe ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
n
nnExperience operating medium-heavy equipment is a plus.
n
nnAbility to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift outside.
n
n nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
nnnExposed to different weather year round.
n
nnPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
n
nnExtensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects 50-75 + pounds.
n
nnAbility to operate heavy equipment such as skid steer and forklift safely.
n
nnKnowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
n
nnAbility to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
n
