At Barnhart, we specialize in solving complex heavy lift and transport challenges across the country. As a Rigger, you'll play a critical role in major projects—from wind farms to heavy haul operations—while building a long-term career with real growth opportunities.
This role offers hands-on experience across multiple disciplines with long-term growth opportunities. In this role you will:
Perform rigging, signaling, and load control for heavy lifts
Assist with crane assembly, gantry systems, and hydraulic equipment
Support wind projects and heavy haul operations
Inspect, maintain, and prepare rigging gear for safe use
Help with equipment transport, including trucks and trailers
Work both in the field and on dynamic project sites

What You Bring
Required:
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Willingness to work in a hands-on, outdoor environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work
Flexibility to work varying schedules, travel, and overtime
Preferred:
Experience in rigging, construction, farmhand, or heavy equipment
CDL Class A (or ability to obtain)
Rigger certification or TWIC card
Additional Expectations:
Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
Willingness to travel occasionally for field work
Work Environment
40–50+ hours per week with overtime potential
Travel-heavy role supporting job sites as needed
Outdoor, industrial, and physically active work
