Job description

Job TitleAt Little Falls Health Services, nursing isn't just a job — it's a calling.Our TMA's build meaningful relationships, provide steady comfort, and become part of residents' daily lives. The primary purpose of the TMA is to function as a team leader passing medications and providing treatments to residents.Pay range: $25.02–$27.37 DOE.Available Shifts: NOC TMA Shift —48 hours per pay period, 8-hour shifts (every other weekend).Essential functions include, but not limited to:Adhere to, support and promote St. Francis Health Services' Mission and Core Values, philosophy, goals and objectives while conducting company business.Maintain confidentiality of company and resident related information at all times.Safely administers medications as ordered by physicians.Knows the dosage and effects of medication prior to administration and is alert to potential side effects.Make nurses aware of any unusual dosages or routes of administration.Correctly charts medication administered for shift.Observes and documents resident's response to medication.Checks med charts and MAR prior to administration and checks MAR at end of shift to check for possible deletions/errors.Follows established procedures for drug control (i.e., locking medication carts, reordering medications, returning unused drugs to pharmacy, and signing out controlled drugs, locking medication room door when unattended).Cleans and stocks medication cart at the end of the shift.Orders, checks and stores medication according to policy and procedure.Performs treatments such as creams and ointments and suppositories.Notes changes in residents' normal routine including nutrition, elimination, basic skin changes, ambulation and skin integrity.Performs residents' vital signs, weights and records.Prepares the resident and family with explanations about the procedure and provides emotional support.Recognizes potential emergencies and takes the appropriate action.Communicates with nurse regarding residents' condition and concerns, physical and emotional status, projected interventions and family interactions.Able to operate the following equipment and perform the following procedures: medication administration, topical treatments, care of ostomy, urinary catheters, restraints, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, and vital signs.Benefits Include:Comprehensive Health Coverage - 100% employer-paid employee health insurance, with access to spouse and family plans.Health Savings Account Contributions - $150 per month toward your HSA when enrolled in our insurance.Peace of Mind - $10,000 employer-sponsored life insurance, plus access to additional voluntary coverage.Retirement Readiness - Strong retirement plan options with employer contributions, plus financial education resources to help you prepare for whatever life brings.Additional Voluntary Benefits - dental, vision, hospital indemnity, critical illness, short- and long-term disability, and accident insurance to fit your individual and family needs.Paid leave time (PLT) and holiday pay401(k) with employer matchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)On-the-job training and opportunities for advancementRequirements: Must be Med Certified.St. Francis Health Services and Affiliates are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
