Training Consultant (6-Month Contract) | Morris County NJ
Robert Half's pharmaceutical client is seeking an experienced Training Consultant to support a growing Training & Development team. This role is ideal for a learning professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing training project management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and instructional design .
Approximately 75% of the role is focused on training project management , including leading trainings, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, driving training initiatives, supporting product launch readiness, and ensuring successful delivery of learning programs. The remaining 25% focuses on instructional design and content development , creating engaging learning materials, job aids, facilitator guides, assessments, and blended learning experiences.
The consultant will partner closely with cross-functional teams across Market Access, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Marketing , serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and subject matter experts. This individual will also support onboarding and new hire training programs, facilitate small-group training sessions, evaluate training effectiveness, and help enhance learning experiences through innovative tools and AI-enabled technologies.
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of Training & Development experience
Strong training project management and stakeholder management skills
Experience facilitating live and virtual training programs
Instructional design and content development experience
Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, life sciences, or CSO experience strongly preferred
Experience supporting commercial, medical, sales, or market access teams
Product launch training experience highly desired
Ability to manage multiple projects while building strong cross-functional relationships
Hands-on, adaptable, low-ego team player willing to contribute wherever needed
Candidates with backgrounds in clinical, scientific, healthcare, or market access functions who have transitioned into training and development are especially encouraged to apply.

The hourly range for this position is W2 $45-60/hr DOE.
