If this sounds interesting to you, keep reading and let's talk.Compensation RangeHourly: $17.00 - $18.50 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This JobThe main purpose of this job is to act as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while processing financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday 10:00 AM - 5:15 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:15 PMSaturday 8:45 AM - 12:15 PMRotation from Drive to Lobby, Closing Drive from time to timeEssential FunctionsGreet customers warmly and professionally; assist with routine banking needs such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan paymentsEnsure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAssist with branch operational duties as needed, including opening/closing procedures and currency equipmentBalance cash drawer daily and reconcile discrepancies promptlyIdentify opportunities to educate customers about bank products and services that meet their financial goalsSupport a positive branch environment by working collaboratively with team membersMaintain security and confidentiality of customer information at all timesEstablish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex financial needs are identifiedPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredStrong customer service skills with the ability to have needs-based conversations with customers both in-person and over the phone.Ability to meet personal and branch customer services and sales/referral expectationsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesBasic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required1+ year customer service or cash handling experience preferredFor this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history.
