Transformer AssemblerMagna-Power Electronics (MPE), a Flemington, New Jersey based electronics manufacturer, we believe that world-class engineering starts with a great team. You'll be diving into exciting, globally impactful projects, shaping everything from electric vehicle powertrains and next-generation semiconductor fabrication to particle accelerators, cutting-edge energy research, and national defense. If you're looking for a place where your work matters and your team has your back, you've found it.The Transformer Assembler will perform a combination of winding and assembling of various magnetic components according to company specifications. The assembler will use hand and power tools, read electrical diagrams, and follow samples to complete various assembly duties or winding magnetic components. Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.Position RequirementsAssembling and laminating main magnetic components according to required specificationsUsing hand tools to twist, bend, trim, strip, and crimp wire leads of transformers to required lengthsSoldering wire leads of transformers/inductors using hand soldering iron or solder potVarnishing and baking transformers in the oven according to department proceduresGluing and clamping various chopper chokesReading blue prints and schematicsAssembling various inductors according to required specificationsWinding coils (with or without machinery assistance) as specified by data sheets and electrical diagramsOperating core machine for manufacturing steel cores in assembly of the transformersEducation & Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 1-year related experience is preferredGood mechanical aptitude using hand and power toolsAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic mathKnowledge in performing crimping, soldering, and assembly is preferredKnowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings and other related manufacturing documents is preferredPerks & BenefitsHealth & Wellness: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.Financial Future: 401(k) plan with a competitive company match, plus Life/Supplemental insurance, Critical Illness & Accident plans, and FSA options.Work-Life Balance: Generous accrued paid time off to unplug and recharge, and a steady work schedule (Monday-Friday).Continuous Learning: Tuition reimbursement programs, certifications, conferences and additional learning opportunities to fuel your ongoing professional development and technical mastery.An Inclusive Place to Build Your CareerWe don't just build world-class products; we build exceptional careers.
