Foster Care Case Aide | Supporting Children, Strengthening Families & Making a Difference
Wellspring Lutheran Services - Gaylord | Otsego and Alpena Counties | Part-time | Hourly $15.00

At Wellspring Lutheran Services, were looking for Foster Care Case Aides who want to support children and families as they work toward stronger, healthier relationships and brighter futures.
As a Foster Care Case Aide, youll work alongside foster care professionals to support children, parents, foster families, and caregivers throughout the foster care journey. Youll help facilitate parenting time visits, provide transportation, assist with family support services, and help create positive, safe experiences for children and the people who care about them.
Many people begin in this role with little or no child welfare experience. What matters most is your ability to connect with others, treat people with dignity and respect, and genuinely care about helping children and families succeed.
Most importantly, youll be part of work that helps children maintain important family connections and supports families as they work toward positive change.
Youll help children and families stay connected by coordinating and supporting parenting time visits and other important family interactions.
Youll create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued during family visits and activities.
Youll encourage positive interactions and help families build on their strengths through coaching, support, and consistent encouragement.
Youll transport children and families to appointments, visits, and other activities that are important to their case plans and goals.
Youll observe, document, and communicate important information that helps the foster care team provide effective support and services.
Youll work directly with children and families from diverse backgrounds, helping create positive experiences that contribute to long-term success.
Some days youll be helping a child get to a visit with their parent. Other days youll be supervising family interactions, assisting with community activities, supporting case managers, or helping ensure children and families receive the services they need.
You genuinely care about helping children and families.
You believe people deserve support, encouragement, and opportunities to succeed.
You communicate well and enjoy building positive relationships.
You want a career that has a meaningful impact on your community.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with children and families is helpful but not required.
A positive, strength-based approach to working with children and families.
