Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS)Ready to lead the front lines of major infrastructure projects? We're hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS) to drive quality, safety, and progress on PennDOT highway and bridge construction projects across District 3. In this leadership role, you'll oversee inspection teams, solve construction challenges, and play a critical part in delivering safe, high-quality transportation systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise construction inspection teams on highway and bridge projectsPerform and oversee field inspections for PennDOT compliance (plans, specs, standards)Prepare inspection reports, documentation, and photo recordsIdentify construction issues, deviations, and corrective actionsCoordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managersProvide technical guidance and resolve field challengesMonitor construction safety compliance and report hazardsSupport project progress, scheduling, and quality control effortsAttend meetings and provide inspection updates and status reportsRequirementsNICET III – Highway Construction or B.S. Civil Engineering (or related) with 5+ years of construction inspection / construction management experienceExperience with PennDOT projects, standards, and specificationsSupervisory experience leading inspection staff or field teamsStrong knowledge of QA/QC, highway construction, and bridge constructionCertifications are a plus or willingness to obtain: ACI Field Testing Technician, NICET Highway Construction, PennDOT Concrete, NECEPT AsphaltPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to safely access and navigate active construction sitesCapable of walking on uneven terrainWork environments may include office and field settings, with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and weather conditionsFisher Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
