School Bus DriverSalary Range: $13.80 - 16.09 / HourlyWork Days: 238 - Evening ShiftMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDPreferred Valid Texas commercial driver's license (Class A or B), with P & S Endorsements or must obtain within 90 days of date of hireMust have basic knowledge of diesel and gasoline vehicles.Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repairsAbility to lift heavy equipment and vehicle partsMust meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; as a safety-sensitive employee, will be subject to random substance abuse screening under District policyTact and diplomacy required in dealing with students, parents and all school district personnelAbility to lift and assist students when necessary, must be able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsRequires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the school bus/vanMust practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by practicing safety driving and work habitsMust have the ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management over groups of childrenAbility to follow verbal instructionsMust have acceptable driving recordMust be physically fit to perform the required job functionsMust be available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekendsMust be able to speak, read and write in the English languageRequired Documents:Copy of High School Diploma or EquivalentCopy of driver's licenseCurrent resumeIt is the policy of Clint ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, religion, handicap or age in its employment practices as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
