At Mind Addiction Counseling Services, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health support tailored to the unique needs of trauma survivors. Our team is dedicated to utilizing innovative and effective treatment modalities. We pride ourselves on being a supportive organization that fosters a culture of continuous learning and development among our staff. Our mission is to empower individuals affected by trauma to reclaim their lives and find sustainable pathways to recovery.

Work Environment

Operating in a completely remote setting, our counselors connect with patients via a secure telehealth platform, ensuring that individuals receive care in a comfortable and accessible manner from the safety of their own homes. This work environment supports flexibility while allowing our counselors to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While the majority of sessions occur during traditional business hours, some scheduling flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patient's trauma history, strengths, and needs, thereby identifying the most effective treatment strategies.

Craft and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on facilitating trauma recovery and building resilience, integrating specific goals that align with the patient’s aspirations.

Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

Guide patients through the therapeutic process, assisting them in processing trauma, developing healthy coping strategies, and fostering a sense of hope and healing.

Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide holistic, integrated care that addresses the complete spectrum of a patient’s mental health needs.

Provide crisis intervention services for patients facing trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and resources when necessary.

Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support systems.

Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the development of best practices focused on trauma-informed care.

Stay informed about the latest research, techniques, and methodologies in trauma therapy, integrating this knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve primarily consist of individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your ability to create a safe and trusting therapeutic environment will be essential in helping these patients address their unique emotional and psychological challenges, ultimately guiding them toward a path of recovery.
