Job description
Beacon Kalamazoo Surgical Specialties is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Trauma Surgeon to join our expanding surgical team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a physician-led, integrated health system dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting physician wellness and professional growth.
Our trauma and acute care surgery program serves a diverse patient population and offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Level II Trauma Center
Comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery practice
Strong multidisciplinary support from surgical subspecialists, hospitalists, critical care providers, APPs, and nursing teams
Experienced trauma program infrastructure
Access to advanced surgical technology and resources
Balanced call schedule designed to support work-life integration
Opportunity to participate in quality improvement, trauma program development, education, and leadership initiatives
Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care preferred
Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
Interest in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and critical care
