Job description
Northwell Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Level I Trauma Center and growing academic surgery program. The successful candidate will become part of a highly collaborative team committed to excellence in trauma care, emergency general surgery, surgical critical care, education, and research.
Opportunity Highlights
* ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center
* Dedicated APP support model
* Approximately 800 trauma and surgical admissions annually
* Rotation through Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical ICU services
* Join an established team of Acute Care Surgeons
* Active involvement in one of Northwell's newest General Surgery Residency programs
* Academic appointment through the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
