About the Facility This 266-bed facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center providing inpatient and emergency trauma surgery services. The hospital maintains established clinical protocols and dedicated staffing to support high-acuity trauma care across inpatient and ER settings. Locum tenens coverage is utilized to supplement the existing team and ensure continuity of trauma surgery services.

About the Clinician's Workday The trauma surgery nurse practitioner will provide night shift coverage across inpatient and ER settings at a Level II Trauma Center, with no call responsibilities required. Responsibilities include monitoring, managing, and discharging patients on the trauma service; taking patient histories; performing physical examinations; and making assessments and diagnoses. The clinician will initiate, review, and revise treatment and therapy plans; order diagnostic studies, therapeutic diets, and ancillary services; and recognize situations requiring immediate physician attention, instituting necessary life-sustaining treatment procedures. Additional duties include instructing and counseling patients on matters pertaining to their physical and mental health, completing pertinent medical record documentation, and facilitating appropriate referrals to health facilities and community resources.
