Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse in Newton. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures within the facility's cardiac cath lab. The position emphasizes assessment, clinical skills, patient education, and adherence to safety protocols to support optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position Description:
Performs comprehensive assessments and delivers patient care tailored to the cardiac cath lab setting, supporting procedural and post-procedural needs. Maintains thorough documentation of patient status and care activities, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to policies. Ensures patient safety by following national safety standards, including proper identification and safe transfer techniques. Supports pre-operative and post-operative assessments, including patient education on procedures and recovery.
Certifications, Education, and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with either an Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Valid RN license required. Minimum of 2 years critical care experience preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Schedule:
Dayshift, 9-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information:
This position requires scrub experience, with a schedule of four 9.5-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM. On-call duties include 10-12 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends (Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM). The role involves supporting pre-admission testing and ensuring timely completion of patient testing related to cardiac procedures.
