Travel Nursing Job Details
n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,820–$2,970n
Location: Bloomington, Illinoisn
Healthcare Setting: Acute-care Cardiac Cath Lab and Pre/Post Angion
Start Date: October 12, 2026n
Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignmentn
Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week with call; some shifts may extend based on procedural volumen
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekn
Electronic Medical Record: Epicn
Patient Volume: Approximately 4–6 cases per day across six pre/post bedsn
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Requirements
n Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois or confirmation that the Illinois RN license application process has been initiatedn
At least 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab, interventional, or related procedural nursing experiencen
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Associationn
Experience admitting, preparing, monitoring, and recovering patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology proceduresn
Ability to interpret telemetry strips and safely titrate medications and intravenous dripsn
Knowledge of commonly used intravenous medications in procedural and recovery settingsn
Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skillsn
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
n Admit, assess, prepare, monitor, and recover patients before and after invasive cardiac and vascular proceduresn
Care for patients undergoing heart catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, STEMI interventions, stroke and neurointerventional procedures, drain and line placements, IVC placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, TEE, cardioversion, and EP studiesn
Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventionsn
Administer and titrate intravenous medications and drips according to provider orders and clinical protocolsn
Collaborate with providers, Cath Lab technologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary procedural teamsn
Provide safe, thorough patient handoffs and complete accurate nursing documentation in Epicn
Respond effectively to urgent and emergent patient needs in a fast-paced procedural environmentn
