Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience and an active CA RN license.
Details
Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Patient ratio of 1:20
Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
No floating expected within the contracted facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be required
Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
Hospital experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening
Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and InterQual Criteria utilization
Familiarity with CMS and Department of Health regulatory standards preferred
Additional Information
Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review within an acute care hospital setting
Scrub or business attire acceptable
RTO limited to no more than 7 days
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, which may include Charge RNs or Leads
First-time travelers are welcome to apply, subject to clinical screening
