American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN requiring PA or compact RN license and specialized interventional cardiac skills for a day shift assignment with call responsibilities. Details Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital setting 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Shift extends to 7:30 AM-4:00 PM when on call On-call responsibilities include one evening per week and every 4th weekend (Friday 4 PM-Monday 7 AM) Call typically covers STEMIs or symptomatic NSTEMIs Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed Cerner charting system experience preferred Requirements Active RN license (PA or Compact) in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required First-time travelers considered with 2 years of Cath Lab experience Experience in circulating and monitoring required Experience with Balloon Pump, Impella, Shockwave, and Rotablator required Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, topical hemostasis, and vascular closure systems Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and IABP placement/removal Knowledge of emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring Valid driver's license, Social Security number, and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings, including hybrid OR cases Monitor and manage dysrhythmias, administer procedural sedation, and assist with vascular studies and procedures Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation/laser safety protocols Candidates must be available to work every other holiday Must reside over 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address Local candidates are not accepted for this position Travel pairs considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed Former permanent employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible Travelers within the health system are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment length, followed by a mandatory two-year break before returning Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are preferred American Traveler Job ID P- .
