Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1+ year of recent cath lab experience, open to first-time travelers, for a day shift role with on-call and weekend requirements.
Details Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
3x12 (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) or 4x10 (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) day shifts, 36 or 40 hours accepted
On-call required, approximately 8 weeknights and 4 weekend 24-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
Weekend shifts required, inclusive of pre-scheduled on-call requirements (4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Holiday coverage required as scheduled and as part of on-call rotation
Floating required within the specialty/department as needed within scope
Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent, strong cath lab experience required
ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification accepted (license required if applicable)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy
Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
Experience with equipment set up, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
Proficiency with isolation precautions and PPE
Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Locals accepted at a reduced rate
Manager may request an interview
Responsibilities include cardiac implant closure device procedures, stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions
Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no scheduling restrictions
