Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Sandwich, MA, requiring prior LTC or rehab experience.Details:Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit13-week assignment on day shift (8-hour shifts)No weekend or on-call requirementsRequirements:Minimum of 1 year OTA experience requiredLTC or rehab setting experience requiredActive OTA license required in Massachusetts, if applicableNew graduates considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experienceOne professional reference required for considerationAdditional Information:Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational TherapistAdminister treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devicesDocument patient progress and treatment outcomes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirementsCommunicate with supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient progress and treatment plan adjustmentsParticipate in required facility meetings, trainings, and in-servicesMay supervise and support OTA students under OT guidanceAdhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standardsUp to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignmentHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
