Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Kerrville, TX, requiring 1 year of OTA experience in a LTC or rehab setting.In-house therapy team at a nursing and rehabilitation facilityDay shift, 8-hour shifts13-week assignmentNo weekend requirementsNo on-call requirementsCompact license acceptedCOTA license required (license required if applicable)Minimum 1 year of OTA experience requiredLTC or rehab setting experience required1 reference required at time of considerationProvide rehabilitative treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational TherapistAdminister ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devicesAssess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plansDocument all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation systemParticipate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehab meetingsSupport and supervise students under OT guidance when applicableMaintain adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethicsNo more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
