Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing Facility
American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Marlborough, MA, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.
Details:
Long term care (LTC) facility occupational therapy department
13-week assignment
Day shift, 8-hour shifts
35 guaranteed work week hours
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Requirements:
Active OTA license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
LTC or rehabilitative care setting experience required
New graduates considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience
1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information:
Provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
Support and supervise OTA students under guidance of the Occupational Therapist
Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and code of conduct
Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
