Description
American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long-term care position requiring at least 1 year of experience in an LTC or rehab setting.

Long-term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
Day shift, 8-hour shifts
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Requirements
COTA license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
Experience in a long-term care (LTC) or rehab setting required
1 professional reference required at time of consideration
Additional Information
Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Administer treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans
Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory and clinical requirements
Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
Assist supervising Occupational Therapist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
May supervise and support students under guidance of the Occupational Therapist
Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
