Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing FacilityAmerican Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Worcester, MA, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience in an LTC or SNF setting.Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unitDay shift, 8-hour shiftsNo weekend requirementsNo on-call requirements13-week assignmentMinimum of 1 year of OTA experience requiredLTC or SNF setting experience requiredActive OTA license required if applicableNew graduates accepted if they completed Level II fieldwork experience (not just Level I observation)One reference required for considerationProvide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational TherapistAdminister treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devicesAssess patient progress and communicate with the supervising OT to adjust treatment plansDocument all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation systemParticipate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetingsSupervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational TherapistAdhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethicsMaximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO)
