Job Summary
The CT Technologist position is located at a healthcare facility and involves performing computed tomography (CT) scans to support diagnostic imaging needs. This role requires full competency in independently conducting CT exams, including those for emergency room patients, with the exception of specialized procedures such as virtual colonoscopies and cardiac scans.
Job Details
Certifications, Education, and Experience: ARRT certification, NYS License, NYS License to inject, CPR certification; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; experience must include scanning independently and proficiency in all CT exams excluding specialized types such as virtual colons and cardiac.
Schedule: Evenings shift from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Wednesday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Operate Siemens Definition ASEMR- Epic PACS system and Visage imaging software; perform CT scans for ER patients and other diagnostic needs; work independently during overnight hours with an imaging aide to assist with patient transport and movement.
Additional Information: The technologist works alone from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the overnight shift. Applicants must be able to scan all CT exams except specialty procedures, demonstrating competence and efficiency in an emergency setting. No hospital or facility names are included in this description.
