Job Summary
American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a night shift, 4x10 contract requiring ARRT (CT & Radiography), CA licensure, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting in Antioch, California.

Details
Acute care hospital CT department serving a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including high-risk and critically ill patients
Performs CT examinations, CT-guided procedures, venipuncture, and contrast media administration
Proficiency with PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval is required
Night shift schedule: 4x10‑hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care facility
ARRT (Radiography) and ARRT (CT) required upon hire
CA CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license required — license required if applicable
IV/Venipuncture Certification required upon hire
BLS (Healthcare Provider) required upon hire
RHF (Radiology Fluoroscopy permit) required within 180 days of hire
Graduate of a Joint Commission‑approved School of Radiologic Technology; Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, technical factors, radiation safety, and safe contrast/medication administration
Additional Information
Protocol and coordinate CT examinations per physician order, clinical history, and established department guidelines
Responsible for accurate charge capture, documentation in the EHR, and ensuring proper image transmission and storage via PACS
Assess patients prior to exams, educate patients on procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure safety and cooperation
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
